What type of trees should I plant (look nice, grow fast, cheap to plant)

I live in the same zone as you do. I do not recommend Maple or Walnut unless you are prepared for the maintenance. I have both and spend many hours cleaning up Walnuts and the little propellar seeds from the Maples. A good shade tree I just started growing is the Tulip Poplar. It grows fast, is strong, and makes a great shade tree. It used to be popular for use in making canoes. It is also very pretty in the fall.
