Help with computer radiation?

The plastic cover you speak of is not a radiation filter. It's just a shipping film to protect the finish. Unfortunately I can't give you numbers, but look at it this way. You will get a lot more radiation flying in an airplane in one trip than sitting in front of a computer for all your life. You getting gles is not because of radiation poisoning, but maybe caused by your eyes adjusting to your monitor or sitting too close to the TV. It could also be hereditary. I've been working on computers for 20 years and a x-ray technician for 13 years. I wear a radiation badge (dosimeter) at work, and my RADs (Radiation Absorbed Dose) has been next to 0. In other words, you have nothing to worry about.
