Am I still contagious?

I was diagnosed with mono Friday night after I being tired of feeling like crap all Thursday. My doctor gave me a paper which states you are contagious the first two weeks. I told her how the Friday before I felt like I had the flu but it went away after being tested negative for swine and strep and then my fever came back so I came in. She said I am positive for mono. So I go home after she examines my spleen saying it's enlarged. I've been tired and having a sore throat since I was diagnosed and been taking ibuprofen. Now just because my fever is gone my mom thinks it's okay to send me off to school because since I don't have a temp, she says I'm not contagious. I still say I should stay home until I get my check up next friday, but she says no. So I'm asking you, if it's only been almost a week of having mono, am I still contagious or what
